Privates & Shared Privates
Private classes are always geared towards individual progress. Be prepared for intense work including single exercises and phases of dance/practice with the teacher or your partner. We will specialise in the quality of your movements, embrace or musicality. If you wish, we can also work on the repertoire, but then the technically clean execution and clear communication will be in the focus. We do not recommend to take more than 1 or 2 private classes per week. Rather less, because there will be a lot to process before a next class makes sense.
You have the option of booking us as a couple or as single teachers. The prices are:
Detlef + Melina:
100€ for 1 person
120€ for 1 couple
180€ for 2 couples (shared private)
220€ for 3 couples (shared private)
Detlef or Melina:
80€ for 1 person
100€ for 1 couple
We also offer reductions, if you commit to a package of 5 hours or longer or are a regular student at our local classes.
Location:
During our stays in Saarbrücken, we teach in the Tangokombinat studio. No studio fee applies.
When traveling, there might be the possibility to teach privates at the workshop location. In case that we have to rent a space, the costs will for single students or couples be split 50/50 between you and us. In case of shared privates, the participants carry 100% of the studio rent.
Availability:
During our stays in Saarbrücken, we are quite flexible and can easily adapt to different schedules.
During our frequent travels, we have to adapt to the workshop schedule. There is usually no time for more than 1 or 2 private classes per weekend. In case we stay longer (before or after a teaching weekend) this will of course be different.

Das kreative Paar und die Musik (Hannover)
Zwei intensive Wochenende für 3-4 Paare, in dem wir gemeinsam an Improvisation, Musikalität und der aktiven Kommunikation beider Tanzenden arbeiten.
In der Hälfte der Zeit gibt es gemeinsamen Input, Inspiration und konkrete Übungen in der Gruppe. (Dabei bestimmen wir die konkreten Themen gemeinsam mit den Angemeldeten.)
In der verbleibenden Zeit widmet sich jedes Paar seinen individuellen Fragen und Themen − mit unserer gezielten, persönlichen Unterstützung. So entsteht die bestmögliche Betreuung, damit wirklich alle spürbar vorankommen!

Privates in a Group
An entire weekend dedicated to individual work in the couple. Basically, this is a super long shared private class with 2-5 couples. We start and end every day with some bodywork and exercises for all. But for the rest of the time, every couple works on their personal goals. This format has proven very useful to explore details of your dance and to progress as a dancer.

Friday: 17.30-19.00 / 19.30-21.00
Saturday + Sunday: 12.00-13.30 / 14.00-15.30 / 16.00-17.30 (each 4,5 hours)
Location: Tangokombinat Studio, Saarbrücken, Germany (or wherever you set us up)
Price:
The fee depends on the number of participants.
2 couples: 480 € per person
3 couples: 370 € per person
4 or 5 couples: 260€ per person
